As Christians across the globe celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, St. Philip’s Anglican Church, Asaba, in partnership with the Delta State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), has finalized arrangements for the 2025 Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols.
The revered Christmas service will hold on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at the Church Auditorium, Anglican Girls Grammar School (AGGS), Asaba, and will commence promptly at 7:00 a.m.
The annual festival is designed to provide worshippers with a deeply spiritual experience through a rich blend of scriptural readings and soul-lifting Christmas carols, reaffirming the supremacy of God and renewing faith amid personal and global challenges.
In a statement issued by the Delta NIPR Public Relations Officer, Dr. Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, Esq., it was confirmed that the State Chairman of NIPR, Mr. Godfrey Osakwe, FNIPR, will lead members of the Institute to the event.
Dr. Oghenesivbe stated that the 2025 celebration promises to be a powerful expression of praise, deliberately crafted to rekindle the values of love, unity, peace, and righteousness among public relations practitioners, professionals from diverse sectors, and the general public.
He described Christmas as a sacred season of love, peace, and reconciliation, when barriers dissolve, brotherhood flourishes, friendships are strengthened, and hearts are elevated beyond human comprehension.
According to him, the season also calls for gratitude and thanksgiving, urging participants to approach the festival with reverence and joy.
Members of the Institute, invited guests, and special guests have been advised to dress in Christmas colours — white with a touch of red or red with a touch of white.
“Delta NIPR is delighted to host the 2025 Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols in collaboration with St. Philip’s Anglican Church, AGGS Asaba,” Oghenesivbe said.
He emphasized that all attendees must be seated on or before 6:45 a.m., noting that the programme will begin strictly at 7:00 a.m.
