Heartland FC has commiserated with the people of Kano state, Nigeria, at the demise of over 20 Team Kano athletes, officials and journalists who died on their way back to the pyramid city after representing the state at the Ogun 2024 National Sports Festival.
The Team Kano representatives were only 50 kilometres close to home when the unfortunate incident happened.
The club prayed for the repose of the souls of the dead heroes and called on the federal government to focus attention on the working of Nigerian roads to ensure the safety of lives and property.
