President Bola Tinubu has signed into law four historic tax and fiscal bill.
The bills, The Nigeria Tax (Fair Taxation) Act, The Nigeria Tax Administration Act, The Nigeria Revenue Service (Establishment) Act, and the Joint Revenue Board (Establishment) Act were signed into law at the Aso Villa in Abuja.
President Tinubu said the new laws simplify the administration’s tax regime and deliver Nigeria’s first major, pro-people tax cuts in a generation.
He said they also provide targeted relief for low-income earners, small businesses, and working families across the country.
The Acts will now be gazetted as laws of the Federal Republic of NNigeria, noting that the Implementation will commence effective January 1, 2026.
