The Wife of the State Governor and Founder of the You Matter Charity Foundation, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, has formally commissioned the Tobore Oborevwori Cottage Hospital in Ughelli North Local Government Area—an initiative executed by the Council Chairman, Hon. Jaro Egbo.
In her remarks, Deaconess Oborevwori said she considered the naming of the facility after her a deeply meaningful gesture, noting that it further strengthens her resolve to expand healthcare access across underserved communities. She applauded Hon. Egbo and his team for delivering a project that directly addresses the health needs of the people, adding that the new hospital will play a central role in her Foundation’s forthcoming medical outreach and help ease the financial strain residents face in seeking medical care.
She also commended the Council Chairman for aligning with the developmental priorities of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s M.O.R.E. Agenda. According to her, ongoing projects—such as the Otovwodo Flyover—underscore the administration’s commitment to equitable infrastructural growth across the state. Deaconess Oborevwori urged other local government councils to take a cue from Ughelli North by initiating people-centred projects that deliver tangible impact.
Speaking earlier, Hon. Jaro Egbo described the cottage hospital as a demonstration of his administration’s dedication to improving healthcare outcomes in the area. He noted that the facility is equipped with modern diagnostic tools, advanced healthcare infrastructure, and a well-structured service system designed to elevate the standard of care available to residents.
The ceremony, which drew political leaders, traditional rulers, and other distinguished guests, featured the official ribbon-cutting and an inspection tour of the newly completed facility.
