Delta Orientation Bureau Hails Okowa’s Appointment as South-South Coordinator of RHI

The Delta State Bureau for Orientation and Communications has congratulated former Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, CON, on his appointment as the South-South Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

In a statement signed by the Director-General of the Bureau, Dr. (Barr.) Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, JP, the agency described Okowa’s appointment as well-deserved and one that has sparked widespread celebration across Delta State and the broader South-South region.

Oghenesivbe noted that Senator Okowa, who served two terms as Governor and previously chaired the South-South Governors’ Forum, is widely respected for his pragmatic leadership style, developmental focus, and unwavering commitment to the advancement of the region.

He described the former governor as a “global-ranking political strategist, super bureaucrat, and astute public administrator,” expressing confidence that Okowa will excel in his new national assignment.

According to the statement, the Bureau views the appointment as a strong endorsement of Okowa’s capacity and track record. It reaffirmed its full confidence in his ability to contribute meaningfully to the goals of the Renewed Hope Initiative and to the progress of the South-South zone.

“Your Excellency, you are the best man for the job—tested and trusted. We rejoice with you now and always. Congratulations, once again,” Oghenesivbe said.
