The Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ahmed Dangiwa, has pledged full support for a proposed “Journalists’ Village” in Abuja, a housing project by the FCT chapter of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ).
During a meeting with NUJ FCT leaders, led by Chairperson Grace Ike, Dangiwa described journalists as key partners in nation-building and promised they would not be left out of government housing initiatives.
He said the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) would support the project through a cooperative housing scheme once the NUJ secures a titled plot of land.
