‎FRSC Warns Road Users to Use Pedestrian Bridge or Face Arrest


‎The Anambra State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has warned pedestrians in Anambra State to use the Pedestrian Bridge or Face Arrest .

‎The FRSC gave the warning during a sensitization campaign at the popular Unizik Junction, Awka, to educate road users on the importance of using the pedestrian bridge.

‎The Anambra state commander of FRSC Mrs. Joyce Alexander said the command will work with Operation Clean and Healthy  Anambra (OCHA Brigade) and the Police to clear traders who have turned the bridge into a makeshift market, making pedestrian movement difficult

‎Mrs Alexander represented by the Deputy Commander,  Christi Okonkwo disclosed plans to collaborate with sister agencies to enforce compliance, warning that anyone found crossing the highway without using the bridge, after the campaign,  would be arrested and prosecuted.

‎The event featured among other things,  distribution of education materials by the FRSC officers to drive home their message.
