President Bola Tinubu has approved the deployment of forest guards in the nation’s over 1129 forests, as part of efforts to secure ungoverned spaces in the country,
The President has also directed office of the National Security Adviser and the Ministry of Environment to drive the program by recruiting and deploying thousands of Nigerian youths to be trained and armed for the purpose
The President directed an immediate Commencement of the recruitments of the guards who will be well trained and armed to perform their duties nationwide.
The office of the NSA and the Ministry of Environment have been directed to take charge and ensure full implementation.
President Bola Tinubu had at a recent event in Katsina state, vowed to ensure that all ungoverned spaces are protected by the federal government across the country.
