Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to positioning the state as a prime investment hub by strengthening infrastructure, enhancing security, and eliminating bureaucratic hurdles for genuine investors.
Speaking through his Deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme, during the groundbreaking of the Cubana Millennium City along the Benin–Onitsha Expressway, Governor Oborevwori assured that the state government would fully support investors who choose Delta as their preferred destination.
The Governor praised Chief Obinna Iyiegbu, President of the Cubana Group, for selecting Delta State for the transformative housing and lifestyle project, noting that the initiative reflects growing confidence in the state’s investment climate. He added that the project is expected to unlock new economic value along the corridor, boost SMEs, expand local supply chains, and create jobs for youths.
Community leaders, including the Chairmen of Oshimili North and Aniocha North Local Government Areas, commended the governor for attracting meaningful development to their communities. The Ugoani of Okpanam Kingdom, Dr. Michael Mbanefo, expressed delight that Okpanam was chosen to host the landmark project and pledged full support to ensure its timely completion.
In his remarks, Chief Iyiegbu described the Millennium City as a world-class community built on vision, possibility, and robust infrastructure. The event featured a ceremonial groundbreaking led by Sir Monday Onyeme alongside other dignitaries.
