The Corporate Affairs Commission CAC has announced new requirements for updating business names online.
According to a public notice issued earlier this week, proprietors must now provide additional personal and contact details to strengthen verification and ensure accurate business records.
Effective immediately, applicants must submit their date of birth, registered office email, proprietor’s email, phone number, and a valid means of identification.
The commission warned unregistered businesses to regularise their status or face prosecution, while urging Nigerians to always verify company details on its online portal.
