Family, friends and members of the Christian community gathered in Asaba to celebrate the life and legacy of Mrs. Hannah Ifeyinwa Aninsha, whose funeral was marked by tributes to her faith, compassion and service to humanity.

remains of the late Mrs. Hannah Ifeyinwa Aninsha, the Ada-Isi (oldest daughter) of Idumuojei Village, Umuezei Quarters, Asaba, have been laid to rest amid glowing tributes celebrating her unwavering Christian faith, exemplary character and lasting impact on her family and community.
At a funeral service held at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Asaba, the Vicar, Venerable Henry Onianwa, described death as a reminder of the brevity and uncertainty of life, urging Christians to live purposefully and seize every opportunity to positively impact others.
He said no one knows the hour of death and encouraged the congregation to live lives worthy of emulation and eternal reward.
Venerable Onianwa described the deceased as caring, resilient, peaceful, free-spirited and prayerful, noting that her life reflected unwavering faith and service to God and humanity. He consoled the bereaved family and urged them to preserve the values and legacies she exemplified.

Following the church service, Mrs. Aninsha was interred at her family compound in Umuezei Quarters, Asaba, where the traditional dust-to-dust rites were performed.
At a reception attended by relatives, friends and well-wishers, the children, grandchildren and in-laws of the deceased, including the General Overseer of Anchor of Hope Ministries, Warri, Reverend Thomas Ukwute, expressed gratitude to God for granting her 97 years of life in sound health and mental alertness.
They described her as a loving mother, devoted grandmother and a woman of remarkable strength, kindness and selfless commitment to the wellbeing of her family and community, adding that her absence would be deeply felt.
Earlier, during a Service of Songs held in her honour at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Christians were reminded of the importance of living a life of faith and finishing the Christian race well in order to receive the eternal crown.
An outing thanksgiving service was later held at the church, where family members and friends offered prayers of thanksgiving for a successful funeral ceremony and celebrated her enduring legacy.
Until her passing, Mrs. Hannah Ifeyinwa Aninsha was the Ada-Isi of Idumuojei Village, Umuezei Quarters, Asaba, and the oldest married woman in Ogbeogo Village, Umuonaje Quarters.
She died at the age of 97 and is survived by six children, 23 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
