The Nnamdi Azikiwe University branch of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has elected its new leadership. Comrade Innocent C. Nnubia emerged as the new Chairperson of the union, winning a keenly contested election with 684 votes, defeating Comrade Harrison O. Etaga who garnered 434 votes.
Other newly elected officers are, Comrade Amaka Metu, Vice Chairperson, Comrade Osita Nnajiofor, Secretary General, Comrade Ogonna O. Osuafor, Financial Secretary, Comrade Chinedu Jonathan Ndubuisi, Treasurer, Comrade Chinenye Oguazu,
Investment Secretary, and Comrade Chinenye Okey-Onyesolu, Welfare Officer
