As Delta state marks 34 years of creation, the chairman, Ndokwa East Local Government Council, Hon. Vincent Osilonya has called for sustained peace and unity in the state and support for the Governor Sheriff Oborevwori administration.
Hon. Osilonya made this known today while speaking with journalists
Reflecting on the state’s journey so far, he recounted how the state has fared from the military to the Democratic era, saying that remarkable progress and development had taken place in the state with the contributions made by successive governments and the support of the people.
The council Chairman lauded Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his visionary leadership and transformative programmes and activities in all sectors of the economy, which has continued to impact the lives of Deltans across the three senatorial districts of the state, noting that the MORE agenda of the Governor was well thought out
While commending the existing peace and unity in the state despite ethnic and cultural differences, Hon. Osilonya said Governance is a collective responsibility and everyone had a role to play in sustaining the peace and in the development of the state.
He thanked the people of Ndokwa East for their cooperation and support to Government and urged them not to relent efforts.
The council Chairman pledged the support of the people of Ndokwa East to Governor Oborevwori, noting that the council would continue to work in line with the MORE agenda to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people through need assessment project delivery to communities.
