…highlights gains of his re-election in Delta CentralThe Director-General of the Delta State Bureau for Orientation and Communications and Delta Central APC Communication Strategist, Olorogun Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, Esq., has described Senator Ede Dafinone’s representation in the National Assembly as strategically aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the MORE Agenda of Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.
Oghenesivbe stated this on Sunday in a statement made available to newsmen, saying Dafinone’s first-term representation had demonstrated that effective legislative service must connect national development priorities with the aspirations of the people. He said the senator’s focus on human-capital development, education, youth empowerment, technical skills, digital opportunities and economic inclusion was consistent with the development objectives of both agendas.
According to him, “sustainable development must ultimately translate into improved opportunities and a better quality of life for citizens,” adding that investment in people remains among the most enduring dividends any government can deliver. He said Dafinone had distinguished himself through competence, discipline, respect for constituted authority and an uncommon capacity to work harmoniously across political and institutional divides.
The Delta Central APC Communication Strategist said Dafinone’s constructive relationship with Governor Oborevwori was another major asset to the senatorial district. “Rather than creating artificial barriers between levels of government, the senator has demonstrated that respectful engagement and cooperation can produce better outcomes for the people,” he said.
Oghenesivbe noted that Dafinone’s professional background in economics, accounting, taxation, business and corporate governance had added value to his legislative responsibilities. He said the senator’s positions as Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Local Content and Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Legislative Compliance placed him in strategic areas affecting industrialisation, indigenous participation, employment generation, accountability and economic development.
He said the responsibilities were particularly important to Delta Central because of its strategic position within Nigeria’s energy economy. “Having an experienced senator directly involved in local-content oversight represents an important advantage for both the district and the nation,” Oghenesivbe said, stressing that stronger local-content implementation could expand opportunities for indigenous businesses, professionals, entrepreneurs, technical workers and young people.
Oghenesivbe further said Dafinone’s emphasis on education, skills acquisition and digital transformation had given Delta Central more than conventional constituency representation. According to him, the senator’s approach “connects local needs with national policy,” allowing issues affecting the district to feature in wider conversations on economic diversification, local production, technological advancement and opportunities for Nigeria’s youthful population.
He maintained that the re-election of Senator Dafinone in 2027 would produce “significant and inestimable gains” for Delta Central, Delta State and Nigeria by preserving the institutional experience, relationships and legislative knowledge accumulated during his first term.
According to Oghenesivbe, another four years would enable Dafinone to consolidate initiatives already commenced, deepen federal connections and strengthen advocacy for constituency priorities. He said continuity would also maximise the benefits of the senator’s strategic committee responsibilities and established relationships within the National Assembly and across the executive arm of government.
Oghenesivbe therefore urged the people of Delta Central to recognise the value of continuity, saying Dafinone’s re-election “would not merely represent a continuation of his mandate but an opportunity to consolidate existing gains, expand development-oriented advocacy and strengthen Delta Central’s voice in national policymaking.”
