– Praises APC Leadership in Ethiope East
The Director General of the Delta State Bureau for Orientation and Communications, Dr. (Barr.) Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, has expressed confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori will record decisive victories in the 2027 general elections.
Oghenesivbe made the assertion on Friday while speaking on the sidelines of the inauguration of the Chairman and Executive Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Ward 6, Kokori, in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State.
According to him, the current political climate in Nigeria, particularly in Delta State, indicates that President Tinubu remains a dominant force in national politics.
“The political atmosphere clearly shows that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has no visible contender capable of matching his popularity and track record in governance. This positions him strongly to secure victory not only in Delta State but across the country,” he said.
He urged the newly inaugurated Ward 6 Chairman, Pastor Sunday Agbogun, to provide purposeful leadership and work towards strengthening unity within the party.
Oghenesivbe stressed the importance of fostering cooperation among party leaders, stakeholders and grassroots members as preparations begin for future electoral contests.
“Ward 6 APC is on a path to excellence. The leadership must foster peace, cohesion and collective commitment as the party prepares to decisively defeat opposition parties in the forthcoming elections,” he stated.
He also commended the achievements of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, describing it as a policy framework already producing measurable economic progress and positioning Nigeria for greater prosperity in the years ahead.
Speaking on developments in Delta State, the Bureau Chief praised Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for what he described as visionary leadership and ongoing infrastructure expansion across the state.
He noted that the administration’s projects have improved economic opportunities and the overall wellbeing of citizens within less than three years in office.
Oghenesivbe expressed optimism that Governor Oborevwori would record a clean sweep across Delta State’s 25 local government areas in the 2027 elections.
He attributed this confidence to the administration’s widespread infrastructure and socio-economic development projects across the three senatorial districts, as well as the state government’s decision to increase budgetary allocations to ₦7 billion for each local government area in the 2026 budget.
According to him, the allocation is expected to support critical development in road construction, education and healthcare, separate from federal allocations.
Oghenesivbe also commended the APC Chairman in Ethiope East Local Government Area, Chief Midwest Iboyitete, for providing pragmatic and stabilizing leadership for the party.
“Under the leadership of Chief Iboyitete, the APC in Ethiope East has become stronger, more united and more organized,” he said, while applauding the timely inauguration of ward executives across the local government area.
He further thanked leaders and members of APC Ward 6, Kokori, for their resilience and dedication to strengthening the party at the grassroots level.
Special recognition was given to Chief James Omeru, whom he praised for his recent empowerment initiatives in the community.
According to Oghenesivbe, Omeru has distributed more than ₦50 million to support youths and women within the past three weeks, describing the initiative as a significant contribution to community development and party cohesion.
He also acknowledged the contributions of several other party leaders, including Chief (Barr.) G. S. Avwunudiogba, Rt. Hon. Sunny Akpodiogaga Emeyese, Chief Faith Majemite, Chief Sunday Omovie and Chief Sunday Umunade.
Oghenesivbe described them as pillars of strength and stability whose collective efforts continue to promote unity and strengthen the APC in Ward 6 and across Ethiope East Local Government Area.
