The Delta State Police Command has released the official contact phone numbers of all Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) and Tactical Commanders across the state, in a move aimed at improving transparency, accountability and public confidence in policing.
The decision was approved by the Commissioner of Police in Delta State, Olufemi Abaniwonda, according to a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe.
Police authorities said the initiative is designed to make senior police leadership more accessible to the public, enabling residents to report crimes more promptly, share intelligence and obtain faster responses to security concerns.
The Command said the publication of the contact numbers forms part of its broader commitment to citizen-centred policing and stronger collaboration between the police and local communities in maintaining law and order.

However, the police warned against misuse of the phone lines, including prank calls or the deliberate provision of false information. Members of the public were urged to use the contact details responsibly and strictly for security-related matters.
The Delta State Police Command reaffirmed its commitment to protecting lives and property, stating that it would continue to pursue proactive engagement, professionalism and cooperation with the public to ensure a safe and peaceful environment across the state.
