The Chairman of the Delta State Sports Commission, Mr. Onoriode Oborevwori, has urged Warri Wolves Football Club to remain focused and committed as they pursue their season goals, following the team’s hard-fought 1-0 victory over Nigeria Professional Football League champions Remo Stars at the Southern Delta University Stadium, Ozoro.
The lone goal of the match came in the 53rd minute when Chisom Orji blasted home a rebound, sending the packed stadium into a frenzy.
The strike ignited a strong response from Remo Stars, but the resolute defense of Warri Wolves kept the title holders at bay.
Coach Napoleon Aluma praised the players for executing instructions on the field and expressed optimism about improving the team’s overall performance, stressing their commitment to finishing the league strongly.
