Director-General of the Delta State Bureau for Orientation and Communications, Olorogun (Barr.) Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, has congratulated the Ovie of Agbon Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Michael Omeru, Ogurimerime Ukori I, on the occasion of his 13th coronation anniversary, describing his reign as a golden era marked by peace, unity and transformational development.

In a goodwill message made available to journalists on Sunday, Oghenesivbe hailed the monarch’s stewardship over the past thirteen years, saying it represents a period of stability and measurable progress in Agbon Kingdom.

According to him, Ukori I’s reign has shone with “radiance and purpose” in the annals of the kingdom’s rich cultural heritage, noting that the monarch has provided calm authority and visionary leadership in navigating the community through evolving political and socioeconomic realities.

He said the monarch’s years on the throne of his forebears symbolise more than the passage of time, but rather a triumphant era characterised by strengthened unity, sustained peace and tangible development across the kingdom.

“Under his royal stewardship, peace has deepened, unity has been strengthened, and development has moved from promise to tangible reality,” Oghenesivbe stated.

The Bureau Chief further attributed the kingdom’s rising political relevance and expanding infrastructural landscape to the stabilising influence of the revered traditional ruler, adding that since ascending the throne, Ukori I has inspired renewed momentum for socio-economic advancement and cultural renaissance.

Oghenesivbe also acknowledged ongoing infrastructural projects facilitated by the Delta State Government, particularly under Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, noting that critical road projects and other interventions reflect a kingdom in forward motion.

“As drums roll to commemorate this 13th coronation anniversary, this is not merely a celebration of years, but a celebration of legacy — a reign defined by honour, a throne dignified by vision, and a kingdom elevated by peace. Long may this golden era endure,” he said.

He reaffirmed his loyalty and commitment to the continued socio-economic, political and cultural advancement of Agbon Kingdom, while praying for the monarch’s sound health, divine protection and enduring wisdom.

Ukori I ascended the ancient throne thirteen years ago and has since been widely regarded by stakeholders as a stabilising force and rallying point for unity within the kingdom.
