The Speaker of the State House of Assembly, the Right Honourable Emomotimi Guwor, has congratulated two of his constituents on their elevation to the state’s High Court bench.
The judges, Justice Jereoma Sam-Oligida and Justice Irene Boeye Ukuli, were among six others sworn in by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Nkem Nwaeke, the Speaker described the new judges’ dedication to justice and public service as a reflection of their character and expertise.
He praised them for being worthy representatives of their communities.
The Speaker urged Justices Sam-Oligida and Ukuli to remain committed to fairness and equity in their duties.
He called their appointment well-deserved and historic, noting that it was not only a personal achievement but also a moment of immense pride for Delta State.
