When his debut album”Weekend Love” first hit the airwaves in 1983, it wasn’t just another record, it was a sensation.

Released under the banner of Supremedisk Records, and masterfully produced by the legendary Jake Sollo of blessed memory, the album “Weekend Love” carried the warmth, rhythm, and soul that defined a generation.

Behind its rise stood the pioneering push of Latimore Solid Productions, Festus Ruppee, late Chris Brooks Obigba, Lucky Liberty, late Tony Umole, May Nwoko, late Fidelis Blackburn Onovughakpor, Banji Banjo, et al, helping to launch Weekend Love into the hearts of listeners far and wide.

Those were golden days at the Supremedisk headquarters in Benin City, days when giants gathered. Voices like Robo Arigo, Akaba Man, Bayo Ade and Osayomore Joseph moved through the same creative corridors, shaping the soundscape of an era.

But Terry was never meant to belong to just one stage. From the glow of studio lights to the commanding halls of broadcasting, Mr. Tunde Omonode (Terry Mackson) shone with equal brilliance.

His voice evolved from melody to leadership, rising to the respected position of General Manager of Delta Broadcasting Service in Warri before his well-earned retirement.

Now the music fades, the microphone rests,
and the man who once filled rooms with rhythm has slipped into a silence deeper than the ocean’s divers dare.

Gone too soon, yet never forgotten. Your songs remain, your legacy echoes, your story endures.
