Delta Police Notify Residents of Shooting Event for BIPOGA Asaba 2026

Residents of Ogwashi-Uku and surrounding communities have been advised not to panic as shooting activities begin for the 15th Biennial , tagged “BIPOGA Asaba 2026.”

The announced that the shooting competition will take place at the Base 31 Police Mobile Force Shooting Range along Kwale Road, Ogwashi-Uku, from Sunday, February 15 to Thursday, February 19, 2026.

According to the Command, the event will run daily between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., with the controlled use of firearms strictly confined to the designated shooting range.

Police authorities emphasized that comprehensive safety and operational measures have been put in place to ensure the exercise is conducted without incident. Residents have therefore been urged to remain calm throughout the period of the competition.

However, access to the immediate vicinity of the shooting range will be temporarily restricted. Motorists and residents in the area are advised to comply with all traffic and safety directives issued during the games.

The Commissioner of Police, , reassured the public of the Command’s commitment to professionalism and safety. He also thanked residents for their anticipated cooperation and understanding.

The 15th edition of the games, holding in , has drawn participants from across the country as officers compete in various sporting events.
