Delta State Set to Attract More Investors as Cubana Millennium City Rises in Asaba

Asaba, Delta State – February 2, 2026 – Delta State is poised to keep attracting credible investors and consolidating its status as one of Nigeria’s most stable and economically viable states, following the ongoing development of the Cubana Millennium City in Asaba.

The Delta State Government has described the project as a clear demonstration of the enabling investment climate fostered by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration. The statement came during an inspection of the access road to the Cubana Millennium City by Delta State Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads) and Public Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, over the weekend.

According to Aniagwu, the willingness of private investors to commit significant resources to large-scale developments such as Cubana Millennium City is a direct result of the governor’s people-centred governance philosophy, peace-driven policies, and sustained investment in critical infrastructure across the state.
He emphasized that Governor Oborevwori has consistently positioned government as a facilitator of growth, opening up communities with quality road infrastructure, guaranteeing security, and maintaining a stable and predictable policy environment that inspires investor confidence.
“What we are witnessing here is yet another clear evidence that Delta State is open for business. Investors respond to sincerity of purpose, consistency in governance, and an environment where infrastructure, peace and security are deliberately prioritized,” Aniagwu said.

The commissioner noted that the under-construction access road would significantly enhance connectivity to the project site, spur further development along the corridor, boost property values, and support Asaba’s urban expansion as a rapidly growing state capital.
Aniagwu reaffirmed that the Oborevwori administration remains committed to the timely delivery of quality road projects across Delta State, highlighting that both rural and urban road infrastructure are key pillars of the governor’s MORE Agenda.
He further assured residents and investors that the government is dedicated to sustaining partnerships with the private sector to drive economic growth, create jobs, and deepen development across the state.
The Cubana Millennium City project, part of a series of private-sector investments in Delta, is widely regarded as a landmark development that signals Delta State’s investment-friendly climate and its potential to attract more large-scale commercial and residential projects. NIM
