The Head of Service of Delta State, Dr. (Mrs.) Mininim Oseji has congratulated the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Works (Highways and Urban Roads), Engr. Dr. (Mrs.) Juliet Aboloje on her retirement from the state Civil Service.
Thanking God for her successful tenure in Office and appointment as a Permanent Secretary on 17th December 2025 by His Excellency the Governor Rt. Hon. (Elder) Sheriff Oborevwori, the Head of Service encouraged her to get the much needed rest after 28 years of meritorious service in the State Civil Service before considering embarking on ventures that may have not been possible due to the restrictions of the Service given her wealth of professional experience.
She gave the advice when Engr. Aboloje paid her a Pre-Retirement Courtesy Visit in Asaba.
She also thanked Engr. Aboloje for presenting a “Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Monitoring and certification of road construction projects. This, according to the HOS would entrench transparency and accountability in the supervision of infrastructural development projects in the State in fulfillment of the Renewed Hope for M. O. R. E. Agenda of His Excellency the Governor.
Earlier in her presentation, the retiring Permanent Secretary from the Ministry of works(Highways and Urban Roads), Engineer, Dr (Mrs) Aboloje Juliet thanked the State Government and the HOS for giving her the opportunity to serve in the State Civil Service for 28 years.
She disclosed that February 2nd, 2026 was her disengagement date from service as her visit was to formally inform the Head of Service and express her appreciation for the HOS exemplary leadership and guidance which has helped her to contribute to the formulation and implementation of government policies and programs aimed at advancing the development of the State.
Engr. Aboloje pledged her continuous commitment to the development of Delta State and ideals of the Civil Service by offering her experience and expertise in an advisory or mentorship level for the benefit of the State.
Some projects supervised by Engineer Aboloje include the P.T.I Flyover and the Trans- Warri- Ode- Itsekiri Bridge.
In a goodwill message, the PS from the Ministry of Finance, Dr Ngozi Mogbolu congratulated Engineer Aboloje on her well deserved retirement and advised her to use her wealth of experience in pursuit of other endeavors.
Other Permanent Secretaries and Director present at the ceremony were Mr. Fred Yoro of the State Civil Service Commission, Mr Wilson Chukwuma, Office of the Head of Service, Mr. Kingsley Olomukoro, Functioning Permanent Secretary (Directorate of Establishments and Pensions) and Mr. Williams Ogolokpe, Director, Personal Management (Senior Management) in the Office of the Head of Service.
