– Traders in Onitsha opened their shops today, Monday, February 2, under heavy security, signaling a potential return to normal commercial activity in Anambra state. The move comes amid government efforts to end the disruptive Monday Sit-at-Home protests.
Security officials were deployed across major markets and streets today to enforce compliance and maintain peace.
The Anambra State Government also directed parents to send their children to school and on all subsequent Mondays, warning that failure to comply could attract sanctions.
