The Delta State Government has called on qualified young graduates of Delta origin to take advantage of the ongoing application process for the Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP), a fully paid post-NYSC work placement initiative aimed at equipping Nigerian youths with workplace experience, mentorship, and career development opportunities.
The announcement was issued by the Delta State Bureau for Orientation and Communications, Governor’s Office, Asaba, as part of efforts to connect young Deltans with meaningful employment and career opportunities.
IThe state government described the programme as a major opportunity for unemployed graduates seeking to gain practical industry exposure and improve their chances of long-term employment.
The initiative, a flagship programme of the Federal Government of Nigeria supported by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the European Union (EU), is designed to create employment opportunities for 20,000 young graduates annually across various sectors of the economy.
According to the state government, successful applicants under the programme will receive a monthly stipend of N150,000, alongside access to professional mentorship, workplace experience, and career development opportunities.
The government said eligible Deltans who participate in the programme would benefit from a fully paid 12-month professional work placement in both public and private sector organisations, exposure to employability skills, career guidance from experienced professionals, and enhanced prospects for securing long-term employment.
The programme is also expected to bridge the gap between academic learning and workplace realities by helping young graduates build confidence, competence, and professional capacity.
To qualify, applicants must be Nigerian citizens of Delta State origin, possess a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND), have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme or possess a valid exemption certificate, and must be unemployed and willing to gain work experience. Applicants are also required to fall within the programme’s approved age bracket.
The Delta State Government urged interested and qualified young graduates to apply exclusively through the programme’s official portal at www.njfp.ng, stressing that the application process is entirely free of charge.
Applicants were warned against making payments to individuals or groups claiming to facilitate admission into the programme, as no fee is required at any stage of the process.
