President Trump Makes Notable Appearance at FIFA World Cup Final; Hands Trophies

‎US President Donald Trump handed out trophies to star players, when he made a notable appearance at the FIFA Club World Cup final held on Sunday in New Jersey.

‎Donald Trump’s  attended the match between Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, where Chelsea secured a dominant 3-0 win.

He handed the Golden Ball award to Cole Palmer, who scored two goals in the match.


‎Though he met a hostile reception, with loud boos from the crowd, particularly when he appeared on the Jumbotron during the US national anthem and later when he walked onto the pitch to present the trophy to Chelsea captain Reece James, Trump appeared unperturbed.


‎According to reports, Trump’s appearance at the FIFA Club World Cup final coincided with the first anniversary of the assassination attempt that he survived during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania.

‎He has fostered a close relationship with FIFA President Gianni Infantino and set up a White House task force to ensure  smooth execution of the 2026 World Cup, which will be hosted jointly by the US, Canada, and Mexico.
