Dangote, CNN Partner to Put Africa’s Business Power on Global Stage

Africa’s business story is getting a bigger global stage, with Dangote Industries Limited and CNN International Commercial entering a multi-year partnership designed to showcase the continent’s companies, industries and growing influence on the global economy.
A major feature of the partnership is Dangote’s sponsorship of “Africa Inc.”, a new CNN International programme hosted by Adefemi Akinsanya, which will spotlight African companies competing, expanding and innovating on the global stage.
The 30-minute programme is scheduled to premiere on August 29, with four additional episodes planned across 2026 and 2027, alongside bi-monthly digital segments.
“Africa Inc.” will examine businesses across key sectors including technology, manufacturing, hospitality and entertainment, highlighting companies driving economic transformation and changing perceptions of Africa in the international marketplace.
Energy, industrialisation take centre stage
The partnership will also feature “Africa First,” a branded content series produced by CNN’s in-house studio, Create.
The series will focus on Africa’s pursuit of energy independence, industrial growth and economic transformation, areas that remain central to the continent’s development ambitions.
The wider campaign will run across CNN International, CNN.com, CNN Arabic and CNN Business social platforms, giving the initiative a broad international and digital reach.
Dangote Industries will additionally sponsor three editions of CNN’s new Global Perspectives events franchise over the next year.
Dangote targets stronger global brand positioning
Dangote Industries said the partnership aligns with its broader global brand positioning strategy, while providing an international platform to showcase its Vision 2030 blueprint and industrialisation agenda.
The collaboration places Africa’s private sector, industrial capacity and emerging economic opportunities at the centre of a global media campaign at a time when African businesses are increasingly seeking international markets, investment and partnerships.
Beyond corporate visibility, the partnership is expected to draw attention to the role of African-led businesses in job creation, innovation, manufacturing, energy development and economic diversification.
For Dangote, one of Africa’s largest industrial conglomerates, the initiative provides an opportunity to project its business ambitions and Africa’s industrialisation story to a global audience.
